Arcadia, FL Wastewater Treatment Facility

The City of Arcadia suffered major damage from the effects of Hurricane Charley in August 2004.  Wade & Associates, Inc., in partnership with Boyle Engineering, is currently conducting sanitary sewer field investigations to identify and eliminate 'Inflow/Infiltration' (I/I) sources in the City's wastewater collection system intensified by the recent extreme wet-weather conditions.

Field investigations will include smoke testing of sanitary sewer lines, manhole inspections and CCTV inspections.  Door hanger notification for smoke testing of sanitary sewer lines will be distributed 1-2 days before tests in your area begin. Field crews will carry identification and use Wade vehicles. We will make every effort to coordinate these activities with city officials, citizens, and business owners in the area to limit traffic disruption and to avoid interference with community-wide events and storm cleanup.

Visit our SSES Services links to learn more about our field investigations. Check our Daily Work Schedule link to see where testing will be completed.

Our goal is to identify and reduce defects in your wastewater collection system, control excessive wet-weather flows and to eliminate future sanitary sewer overflows and backups.  I/I reduction also reduces cost of relief sewer construction.  We would like to thank the citizens of Arcadia for their efforts in making this study a success!
